The installation was as easy as falling off a log. Really. It was straightforward and<br \/>\n<code>apt-get<\/code> is stupid easy. I did this because I needed a development platform for this <a href=\"http:\/\/amazon.com\/dp\/1847192971\" title=\"Amazon.com: Building powerful and robust websites with Drupal 6: David Mercer: Books\">Drupal<\/a> book I&#8217;m working through. I started to put it on my Macs; but, getting<br \/>\nGD to play nice with Leopard has proven a pain. <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.moodle.org\/en\/Step_by_Step_Installation_on_a_Mac_OS_X_10.5_Server#Install_the_GD_Library_on_the_Mac_OS_X_10.5_Server\" title=\"Step by Step Installation on a Mac OS X 10.5 Server - MoodleDocs\">All of the workarounds I&#8217;ve seen are for Leopard Server.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nI&#8217;m hoping to deploy Drupal for Augusta West&#8217;s (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.augustawestdance.com\/\" title=\"www\">here is the old one<\/a>) new website. I&#8217;ll have to be patient with myself as I learn this stuff.
