Unfortunately, I can&#8217;t really speak to it except it feels like a scene in Empire Strikes Back. I don&#8217;t really understand what are the salient differences between RISC and x86. I know the old party line on the subject: RISC => more instructions per cycle. I guess I&#8217;ll have to learn to say &#8216;Intel => more power per watt&#8217;. Whatever. I can&#8217;t say I&#8217;m ready to move to Windows (I use Windows almost every day testing web sites). I don&#8217;t know. I guess it&#8217;s like the Woz told me in an email about the death of the OS 9 desktop metaphor: we&#8217;ll just have to wait and see what they do. There are lots and lots of unanswered questions.<br \/>\nIn other news, I&#8217;m headed down to GHP tomorrow. I&#8217;m having trouble getting motivated to finish packing. My kids seem eager and excited, and I&#8217;m excited too; it&#8217;s just going to be hard to be separated from Tess; even though I&#8217;ll see her every week. I&#8217;m not looking forward to that aspect of it. At any rate, I need to get back to packing.<br \/>\nOh, one more thing&#8230;.<br \/>\n<strong>I got the job!!!!!
