Tess is 1 year old today!

I can hardly believe it. She’s almost walking by herself completely and her babbling is taking a turn towards the coherent. Tammy’s going to beat me if I sit behind the computer for one more second. We really do need to get on the road.
Tam’s ready to kill me, I’m going to get in the car right now!

B in Bean Town

Well, I made it. 16 hours and too much time on I95. I start tomorrow and I’m already exhausted. I will take pictures as soon as I get some tape in the camera and have time to catch my breath: in other words, probably no time soon. In the meantime, I’m feeling like I’ve been everywhere and I’m missing Tam and the little one terribly. I’ve been told about how the parenting thing changes everything. I’m receiving an object lesson about this. It is nice to see Lance and Susan and see what it’s like to be an MIT grad student.

Got your DVD?

If you haven’t yet received your GHP 2005 DVD, please let me know. If you ordered one, you should have it by now. If you don’t get it by Wednesday, please email me (benjie@westafer.com) and I will track it down. You also might notice I’ve added a link on the right for you to order a DVD if you want one. You might also notice that the price has increased: this is because PayPal takes money from me each time and I might have to refund an order if I can&#8217t prove an affiliation with GHP (the DVD is really for those close to the show and not the general public). Mainly, the PayPal thing is an experiment.
Those of you with DVD’s, please let me know what you think. I’m very interested to hear your comments, complaints, etc. Hope things are going well, stay in touch, and enjoy your ballet classes!
Love,
B.

DVD Finished

I am very happy to report that the DVD is finished. I will send it to the duplicators on Tuesday. They usually have fast turn around and I expect it won’t be much longer now. I appreciate your continued patience and will send them to you as soon as I get them back.

Well folks, there’s one more thing to appreciate living in the mountains…
Earthquakes! I was just ready to dial-up when the entire house started shaking. It didn’t last long at all; but, it scared the beejeezus out of me. I immediately cried out, “What the hell is going on!” I’m still listening to every little sound I hear. Tam came out of the bedroom with a look that asked the same question. The power stayed on and I guess the tremor was most mild. Still, I went to the US Geological Survey’s Site and found where lives the nearest seismograph. The results are below:
Jenksville seismograph
Here’s another one from the USGS

DVD Update!

Whew! I’m working on the DVD menus now which means I’m nearing the final stages of this thing. The rehearsal footage isn’t that great. I’m afraid I’m going to have to dump it on there. I thought about doing some pop-up video style thing to it; but, this business is dragging out and I want to get these things in the mail ASAP!
In other news. You’ll notice that I’ve added two banners to the site. I guess you might say I’ve sold out. Things are pretty tight around here and every little bit counts. I’ve also started some reasonable SEO on the JuicePlus area of the site. If you search Google for JuicePlus I’m on page three. Google’s cache hasn’t been updated since I started optimizing, so I guess I’ll have to be a little more patient.
Speaking of patience. I’ve been forced to dial-up! ARGHHHH! I’m using NetZero’s “Platinum” service for Mac. Well, it ain’t all that. I don’t know if I’m going to stick with them or no. I haven’t been able to connect at 56k even! I’m going to poke around a little and see if I can’t get better results. And now, back to baby/DVD duties!
